生活中有很多人常常立场不明，态度暧昧，像坐在墙头上一样，既不往左跳也不往右跳，迟迟不做决定（to delay making a decision）。

对于这类人，汉语中有一个形象的说法——“骑墙派”。

“骑墙”字面意思是“to sit with your legs on either side of the fence”，与英文“sit on a fence”含义相近，都表示“犹豫不决，采取观望态度（straddle）”。带有贬义色彩。

当争议发生时，“骑墙派”通常立场中立，两方面都讨好，不想得罪任何一方（support both sides in a disagreement because they do not want to annoy or offend either side）。

你不能再骑墙观望了——你必须决定支持谁。
You can’t sit on the fence any longer – you have to decide whose side you’re on.
