大家一起快乐记单词


【活动内容】

英语角每周放出七个单词，并配上妙趣横生的图片。
帮助大家在会心一笑的同时，记住这些英文单词。
咱们的要求就是，请大家在了解完各自的单词之后，
用该单词造个句子即可。
轻轻松松学英语，就是这么简单！


【活动奖励】

用每期所给出的七个单词分别造句。每造一句子，20PB的奖励，限3句，每句句型不得重复。相同的单词限同一楼层回复。

新规则：
1.在一个句子中，若是能同时用到本周给出的两个单词，有额外的10分附加分，同时用到三个单词，附加分为15分，同时用到四个单词，附加分为20分，依此类推。。。
用到两个及以上单词时，请用不同颜色标注出你所用到的单词。
相同的句子，只能用一次。
2.欢迎大家提供新的单词来记，版主根据难易度和常见度审核所提交的单词，一经采纳，更有多重惊喜等你来拿！
3.为了“记单词”活动更有声色，更具有实际性，从这期开始，LZ会在贴子里增加好听的英文歌，也希望参加的各位pairs多多提供好听的英文歌，一经采纳，同样有多重惊喜！~(≧▽≦)/~啦啦啦

【造句要求】

使用每周给出的新单词造句，所造句子不可与给出的例句雷同；专有名词，如地名，人名，商标名，书名，电影电视名，歌曲名等等，不可用于造句；也不可造类似“I have learned a new word or phrase "XXX".”这种不能体现该单词意义的句子。

英语角的单词造句鼓励原创，若被版主有理由怀疑其从网上直接摘抄，将不给活动分。

concern

1.N-UNCOUNT忧虑；担心Concern is worry about a situation.

例：The move follows growing public concern over the spread of the disease...

2、VERB使担忧；使心烦If something concerns you, it worries you.

1、 N-SINGSee also:air force；armed forces；labour force；peacekeeping；task force；tour de force；workforce；警察机关；警察部门The force is sometimes used to mean the police force.

例：It was hard for a police officer to make friends outside the force.
     警官很难与警队外面的人交朋友。

2、VERB强迫；强制If someone forces you to do something, they make you do it even though you do not want to, for example by threatening you.

例：I cannot force you in this. You must decide...

mean [mi:n] n. 平均值，方法，手段 adj.下贱的，卑鄙的；平均的，吝啬的

mean

1.VERB意指；表示；意思是说If you ask someone what they mean, you are asking them to explain exactly what or who they are referring to or what they are intending to say.

例：Let me illustrate what I mean with an old story...
     让我用一个古老的故事来说明我的意思吧。

2、ADJ-GRADED吝啬的；小气的If you describe someone as mean, you are being critical of them because they are unwilling to spend much money or to use very much of a particular thing.

例：Don't be mean with fabric, otherwise curtains will end up looking skimpy.
      别这么吝啬布料，不然做出来的窗帘会显得特寒酸。

3、N-SINGSee also:means；平均数；平均值The mean is a number that is the average of a set of numbers.

例：Take a hundred and twenty values and calculate the mean.
       取120个值计算平均数。

delay

1、VERB使延期；使延迟；推迟If you delay doing something, you do not do it immediately or at the planned or expected time, but you leave it until later.→see usage note at:cancel

例：They had delayed having children, for the usual reason, to establish their careers...
     为了那个通常的原因——创立自己的事业，他们推迟了要孩子。

2、N-UNCOUNT延误；耽搁Delay is a failure to do something immediately or in the required or usual time.

例：There is no time left for delay...
       已经没有时间再耽误了。

recall

1、VERB记起；回想起；回忆说When you recall something, you remember it and tell others about it..

例：Her teacher recalled: 'She was always on about modelling.'...
      她的老师回忆说：“她那时老是说要当模特。”

2、N-UNCOUNT记性；记忆力Recall is the ability to remember something that has happened in the past or the act of remembering it.

例：Parliament was recalled from its summer recess.

  resplendent [ri'splendənt] adj. 光辉的；华丽的

resplendent

1。ADJ-GRADED华丽的；灿烂的If you describe someone or something as resplendent, you mean that their appearance is very impressive and expensive-looking.

例：Bessie, resplendent in royal blue velvet, was hovering beside the table.
