介绍：人们最早认识Daniel Powter就是从这首“Bad Day”开始的，去年这首歌被可口可乐选为广告宣传曲，之后Daniel Powter的星途就开始大放光芒，一连攀上多个排行榜，在欧洲大行其道，成了各大电台热播的单曲。不过Daniel Powter真正引起世人关注还是在今年7月柏林的Live8演唱会上，在那场打着拯救贫穷旗号的豪门盛宴上，Daniel Powter第一次在全世界面前自弹自唱，那一天再次成了Daniel的“Best Day”，随后就有了这张同名专辑。

听完整张专辑忍不住要把Daniel Powter和James Blunt做个对比。两人的嗓音都非常独特，而且都属于直抒胸臆的创作型歌手，在有些唱法上非常地相似，第一次听“Free Loop”，唱到“But I don't know enough......”时，我心说：我KAO，这不就是James Blunt么！不过James Blunt的歌曲朴素、直接，几乎不做任何修饰，Daniel Powter则华丽得多，甚至肆意玩弄技巧，比如“Suspect”、“Lie to me”里四处游移的假音；James Blunt的歌很有点悲天悯人的气度，Daniel Powter则有点狡黠、玩世不恭，不过这应该是个错觉，从BBC的采访和“Bad Day”中可以看出Daniel Powter其实是个既内向羞涩又积极乐观的人；就象James Blunt的歌里总少不了吉他一样，Daniel Powter则离不开钢琴，这也是他的作品听起来更多变的原因之一；Daniel Powter还有一点让我很喜欢，就是他的歌前戏都很短，一带而过就直奔主题，“Lost on the stoop”干脆就是一上来就开唱。
