SHELDON: I don’t think I can do this.
LEONARD: are you kidding? You’re a semi-pro.
SHELDON: No. We are committing genetic fraud. There's no guarantee our sperm's going to generate high-IQ offspring. Think about that. I have a sister with the same basic DNA mix who hostesses at Fuddruckers.
LEONARD:Sheldon, this was your idea. A little extra money to get fractional T1 bandwidth in the apartment?
SHELDON: I know. And I do yearn for faster downloads. There's some poor woman who's gonna pin her hopes on my sperm. What if she winds up with a toddler who doesn't know if he should use an integral or a differential to solve for the area under a curve?
如commit a murder谋杀
3. There's no guarantee that:不一定. There’s no guarantee that the richest is the happiest.
5.pin one’s hope on:把希望寄托在.Parents always pin their hope on children.
6.wind up with以… Their seeming perfect plan winds up with failure.
I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, where I'm gonna wind up.
Solve for y in terms of x,用x求出y.
LEONARD:We're not gonna give up just like that.
SHELDON: Leonard, the TV's in the building. We've been denied access to the building, ergo we are done.
LEONARD:Excuse me. If I were to give up at the first little hitch, I never would be able to have identified the fingerprints of string theory in the aftermath of the big bang.
SHELDON: My apologies. What's your plan?
LEONARD:It's just a privilege to watch your mind at work.
SHELDON: Come on, we have a combined lQ of 360.We should be able to figure out how to get into a stupid building.
1. deny access to:不可使用,拒绝试用,而have access to 表示使用,可以利用.
2. ergo
3. If I were to…I never would be able to…
4. My apologies:向别人道歉时除I’ m sorry外的另一种说法.
5. privilege
