Flag of the United KingdomThe national flag of the Unite Kingdom is designed as a white-fimbriated symmetric red cross on a blue field with a white-fimbriated counterchanged saltire of red and white. It is made up of the individual Flags of three of the Kingdom's countries all united under one Sovereign - the countries of 'England, of 'Scotland' and of 'Ireland'. As Wales was not a Kingdom but a Principality it could not be included on the flag. Therefore the British flag is also known as the Union Flag or Union Jack, which symbolises the administrative union of the countries of the United Kingdom.
英国国旗是由英格兰的白底红色正十旗、苏格兰的蓝底白色交叉十字旗和爱尔兰的白底红色交叉十字旗重叠而成。英国国旗，中文俗称“米字旗”，正式称呼是“the Union Flag"，意为“联合旗帜”，也常常称为“the Union Jack"。Jack是海军用语，指悬挂在舰首的旗帜。英国军舰舰首都悬挂国旗，因而得名。后来爱尔兰岛的一部分脱离了英国，国旗也未再改变。国旗上没有代表威尔士地区的形象，因为设计时，威尔士早已与英格兰合并了。
Royal coat of arms of the United KingdomThe Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom is the official coat of arms of the British monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II. On the left, the shield is supported by the English Lion. On the right it is supported by the Unicorn of Scotland. The unicorn is chained because in mediaeval times a free unicorn was considered a very dangerous beast. The main element of the Arms is the shield which is divided into four quarters. The first and fourth quadrants represent England and contain three gold lions passant on a red field; the second quadrant represents Scotland contains a red lion rampant on a gold field; the third quadrant represents Ireland and contains the gold harp of Ireland on a blue field. The motto “Dieu et mon droit” appears below the shield is French for “God and my right”.
英国皇家徽章，中心图案为一枚盾徽，盾面上左上角和右下角为红地上三只金狮，象征英格兰；右上角为金地上半站立的红狮，象征苏格兰；左下角为蓝地上金黄色竖琴，象征爱尔兰。盾徽两侧各由一只代表英格兰的狮子和一只代表苏格兰的独角兽支扶着。独角兽是被锁链锁住的，否则将会被视为非常危险的动物。徽章的下端的饰带上写着一句法文，意为：“我权天授”。
