初中生真的不要看英文书，相信我，你到高中毕业能看得懂《哈利波特》这种幼儿读物就不简单了的说。。。。。。

初中生呀    倒是 可以看看牛津书虫系列的那套中英对照丛书  网上是有下载的
建议书页不要超过150
如果楼主的英语水平已超出小书虫（没有看不懂的地方），可以进入BBC网站的英语学习专栏下载些听力带文本啃啃  www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice  一般是很有趣的
哎  喜欢吃苦的孩子  放着汉语故事书不看  宁要和26个字母较劲  拜倒哇

练习练习新概念英语1和2也蛮好的  买下配套的磁带    时日久了  基础自然就好了

I recommand The sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It's a good novel. If you don't understand, you can watch the movie.

The giver! This book is for the elementary school in the USA, but I think you also can read it.

According to your situation ,my suggestion is to read the English magazine  called ENGLISH CORNER that are suitable for those who has primary or secondary English level .

My advice is to see movie or English magazine .Novel is too hard to read for you ,you can hardly understand the real meaning  ,because  your level is not reach .If you have a real hunger for reading ,you can choose short novel to try .
